How to read a tire size
In 225/60R16, 225 is the width in millimetres, 60 is the sidewall height as a percentage of that width, R means radial construction and 16 is the wheel diameter in inches. Light truck sizes such as 35X12.50R20LT give the overall diameter (35 inches), the width (12.50 inches) and the wheel (20 inches) directly.
